4 direct composite veneer were done with no preparation at all.
Work flow:
Visit 1 – Pre op Photography, Impression making and oral prophylaxis.
Cast was poured and wax up was done to create putty index matrix.
Visit 2 -optragate was placed.
The broken edges were bevelled.
After sandblasting – etching bonding
- The putty matrix was used to create Palatal shelf such that it can hold bioclear matrix.
- The bioclear matrix was used to create cervical hip. It’s advantageous for the health of gingival tissue.
- Slip- on technique was used to complete rest of midline and other gap closure.
After gross finishing in cervical margins, textures were marked and entire finishing and polishing protocol was followed.
Multiple problems : High chromatic stains to hide , midline diastema, fractured incisal edges.
Having Wax heater and wax kit saves lot of time and hassle of sending the cast to labs
Various studies are published comparing one technique to other. I guess when we can use all to our advantage.. why not !!
Immediate post op !! Kept the natural intensives the tooth had but subdued them .. so that they match with rest of dentition and yet be inconspicuous.
